Summer Starts Soon

Summer camp has been a tradition for many families for many years.  Spending time away from home offers children opportunities that are different from the daily grind of school and the “I’m bored” attitude at home.  This year, we offer a whole new look at the summer camp experience with Girls Inc. Girl Power Summer Camp.  

The Girls Inc. Girl Power Summer Camp provides girls with a highly interactive adventure that can’t be found in any backyard.  At Girls Inc., we like to have fun and take something from each experience.  So, we’re not just launching rockets, we’re dabbling in physics.  We’re not just playing basketball, we’re strategizing.  We’re not just making websites, we’re taking a deeper look at how marketing plays a role in our lives.

Camp costs have been consolidated into one weekly rate of $75. We are offering discounted rates per additional child you sign up this year.  This fee covers the cost of admittance into Meridian Park Aquatic Center twice each week for swimming as well as a spot on the bus for summer field trips.  This year’s field trips include the Indianapolis Zoo, The Children’s Museum, and an Indiana Fever basketball game.  Additional in-town outings may take place.  

 We also will offer specialty enrichment events throughout the summer such as the Manners Matter Etiquette Group and the  Spoons and Spatulas Cooking Group at an additional cost. Free of charge will be the Street Science Spectacular, which is open to the community.  Then bring your sleeping bag for the end the summer sleepover!

And what is summer without some sporting competition? Don’t miss the Girls Inc.  camps taking place throughout the summer. Golf, tennis, basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics are open with limited space.  Whether you are new to the sport or looking to improve your skills, there’s something for everyone!  

Girls are challenged to reach new heights!  No couch potatoes here!  

Finally, we are happy to report that Shelbyville Central Schools will be providing breakfast and lunch free of charge to all camp participants throughout the summer!
